Thailand hotels represent the best of the giant luxury chains and resorts throughout the world as well as the residential hotels which are very popular with the Westerners who live and work in Thailand.

Westerners would call many of the Thailand hotels similar to those in the larger cities in the United States. Room service is provided on a daily basis, the amenities of equipment and furnishings are provided. The rates are not vastly different from those in larger cities world wide and the rooms are clean and well-ordered.

The amenities offered in Thailand hotels include conference center facilities, restaurants, bars, and business centers. Guest accommodations include such things as laundry service, room service, gymnasiums, swimming pools and gift shops.

In short, no effort has been spared to make guests feel at home and comfortable while traveling in Thailand. Thailand hotels in the rural areas are less well appointed. The rooms may not include room service on a daily basis, the peripheral equipment and amenities not as elaborate.

This is not to say that the Thailand hotels in these areas are low quality, just that it’s a smaller call for the top end luxuries and so they are not included in the package.

However, if one were to go to a Thailand hotel in a resort area, you would be truly made to feel like a prince or princess. The owners of the Thailand hotels know that the country’s income and their own is largely dependent upon attracting tourists and bringing them back to Thailand again and again. People on vacation spend money and the Thai people know that by providing exceptional service, facilities, friendliness and accommodations, guests will be pleased and will return to spend even more money.

Travel agents are prepped with a plethora of choices to offer Western tourists who may be considering a visit to Thailand. Information is packaged attractively emphasizing such things as a golf vacation, to play golf at one or several world-class golf courses. A snorkeling vacation may supply snorkeling gear, guides, boats and accommodations near one of the beautiful ocean viewing areas. A Thailand hotel package might be a combination of surf, sand and golf at one of the beach resorts.

A Thailand hotel vacation in the southern part of Thailand could include surf, beach, snorkeling, golf and visits to such sites as the famous Rock Castle. These are part of the Thailand hotel tours made available to guests.

During the daytime hours, you can take part in hundreds of pleasant and interesting activity. Golfers will appreciate the convenience and challenge of the world class golf courses. For something a bit out of the ordinary as a vacation, rent a bicycle and pedal your way around the sightseeing tours. There are also taxi bicycles for when you prefer to have someone else to the pedaling.

During the nighttime hours, Pattaya Thailand becomes a different world. The bars are open with socializing, dancing, music and just plain fun. There is a wide range in the types of nightclubs, bars and cafes. There are discos, pubs and all transvestite shows .Some of the clubs are elegant, some can only be classified as bawdy, but you may find it enjoyable to sample all of them. You may also enjoy some of the cultural attractions. Some of the more popular nightlife destinations in Pattaya Thailand include Star Music on Walking Street, which has live music and a hopping atmosphere, while the Hopf Brew House is well known for classic dining with a group. A western theme with funky music and theme is found at the Moon River Pub.

Bargaining is expected and enjoyed in Pattaya Thailand. While some Westerners develop the technique, others find it can be intimidating to say the least. You should at least make the effort to challenge the merchant. He loves to hone his skills on foreigners and you just might surprise him by bargaining him down to where you want. It’s almost like a carefully choreographed dance with nusic.

The restaurants in Pattaya Thailand are supurb. An example such as the PIC Kitchen features the best in fine dining, while the Sala Rim Today has such unique and tasty supplies at crocodile steaks—not for the faint-hearted. You can breakfast on French cuisine, lunch on German dishes and make your dinner Thai specialties.

The delicately seasoned food is preferred by many over the more spicy dishes of some of the country. The attention to the mix of flavors and the daring conjoining of texture color and flavor makes each Pattaya Thailand day a time to delight in.

One of the ways to spend a holiday in Thailand is to stay at one of the villas. Thailand villas are usually part of a resort and are usually near a beach. A villa here would be considered to be a cabin here in the United States. It has one main room that contains a living room and a bedroom. It has one bathroom. The villas that are part of a resort are the most expensive. You can stay at Thailand villas that are quite inexpensive.

Thailand villas are a good choice since it is more private than staying in a hotel room. You are separated from your neighbors. The cheap villas are more isolated from civilization and you will have to take little trips if you want to get any supplies. The resort villas will provide you with everything need quickly and efficiently. Resort villas are like 5-star hotels while cheap villas are like 3-star hotels or below.

The quality of the Thailand villas does vary greatly. The ones at the resort are quite nice, while you could end up with a villa that seems as big as your closet. You are taking a gamble when you want to rent a villa. You won’t really what it is like until you go to it. You will have to trust that your travel agent has good reliable knowledge about Thailand villas. The brochures for the villas do not always tell the full story. Even though they are more pricy, you can trust that the villas at resorts are exactly what they are. It is the ones that are cheaper that you will have to be careful about.

The Thailand villas that you can take a holiday are located in the major beach areas. You can always find a villa on Jomtien Beach near Pattaya. All the Thai islands have villas that you can stay at. There are supposed to be some really good villas near Hua Hin. It should be noted that downtown Hua Hin is quite expensive. It is not meant for the backpacker, but for people who really have money. If you are going to choose a cheap villa, it will have to be on the outskirts of Hua Hin.

Thailand villas are a popular choice during the holidays. You will expect hard times during the Songkran Festival (Thai New Year) and the December holidays in getting a villa. You should reserve a villa early for Songkran and for December if you want to make that you can get a villa that you want.

Thailand beaches are the reason many people choose to spend a vacation or a lifetime in Thailand. Beaches, almost uniformly beautiful surround three sides of this small country, and provide hundreds of miles of white sand and blue water.

Thailand beaches are becoming known and popular mostly during the years since the Vietnam era. Servicemen and women returned home after a stint in Vietnam, but they remembered the good times they had while on leave. With the cooling of tensions somewhat in the Far East, combined with the growing need to find profitable and economically sound ways of increasing investment in the country, came the realization that building a fine resort accommodation in Thailand with close proximity to beaches, shopping, history, was a sound business decision.

Thailand beaches were largely unspoiled by over development, and because there is so many miles of coastline available. it was not difficult to find a low cost area to develop. Although foreigners cannot own controlling interest in Thai property or businesses, with some creative accounting and a little under the table assistance, major development began.

Early resorts allowed the sun, sand and water to be their own sales force, A day on the beach, lazing in the sun with occasional dips in the warm azure waters of the Indian Ocean followed by a trip to Bangkok for wonderful Thai cuisine and perhaps some dancing or barhopping afterward made for a rewarding and satisfying vacation.

Of course, as popularity grew and locations close to the capitol city became more developed, prices of land grew as well. At the same time, a new breed of vacationers began to arrive looking for excitement, more than just a day on the beach. Tour companies began looking for more and different activities to increase the flow of tourists and poor people in need of employment began to be drawn to the coastal areas. This became an increasing cycle of more tourists needing more beaches and more hotels which brings more working people.

What is most amazing is that in spite of all the ebb and flow of people to Thailand beaches, they have managed in most instances to retain their pristine beauty. Were it not for the attack of the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004, Thailand beaches might have continued to increase in popularity.. Although other areas of the country were spared major damage, it remains to be seen what if any long-term effect the tsunami will leave.

When you travel Thailand, there are many things to see and do, some are unique to this beautiful and unusual country, and others are typical tourist sites which could be replicated in most countries of the world with an interest in tourism. A few of the highlights if you choose to travel Thailand might be:

SATUN
Satun is a southern province of Thailand. It might be called the land of parks since there are several both on the mainland and on the island of the Andean Sea. To travel Thailand in this area means that you would enjoy the natural beauty of parks and ocean beaches. The Yaroi Waterfall has several hiking trails where you could see such rare and exotic creatures as the mouse deer and the barking tree frog. The Sakai are natives who make their minimal living off the land in proximity to the park. You might also want to travel Thailand ferry service to one of the outlying islands such as Langkawi Island. The famous Rock Castle formation is located at Ko Phetra National Park and is certainly worth a small side trip.

SAMUI ISLAND

When you travel Thailand north to the beach resort area of Samui, you move into another very different area of the country. Samui is first and primarily a beach resort. In the past, the resort was mainly for the use of young backpacker types, but has now moved into the big time beach resort luxury living, at the same time Samui Island retains its natural beauty and is a still a bargain when you travel Thailand

U-THAI THANI

To continue our northward travel through Thailand’s interior is to reach the unusual and fascinating province of U-thai Thani. Archaeological excavations in the area reveal the presence of prehistoric people who lived and worked here. Because this area is so far off the beaten path, few tourists visit, but there are many points of interest for those willing to make the trek. There is an ancient Buddhist temple known as Wat Sangkat Rattana Kiiri in this area. A famous bronze Buddha statue is housed at this temple and is the drawing card for 1000s of Buddhists who come yearly for the festival known as the ”Merit Making Festival”

CHIANG RAI

One more city of interest as we travel Thailand to the northern border is the city if Chiang Rai. This area was the headquarters of King Mengrai whose statue can be seen in the city. The province has only been considered Thai territory since the 1700’s. Prior to that time it belonged to the Burmese.
